I love sessions of family reunions during Thanksgiving. You can just feel the happiness among them while they consider how thankful they are for their families. This year I was fortunate to have two family reunion sessions over Thanksgiving. Here’s some pictures from the first family.

I have a feeling that this Daddy is going to like his Christmas present this year. But shhhhh don’t tell him! These boys had a nice long session laughing, dancing and jumping their way through it. I had a ton of fun playing with them!

It was very fun for me to photograph this family since the dad and I were in graduate school together 15 years ago! Back then we were both interested in careers in groundwater hydrology. But funny enough, we have both seen the light and are now professional photographers! I loved getting to know his two sweet daughters.

I love photographing these three girls. You’ll find their annual session images throughout my website. This year they have a new place to call home so we did their holiday session on location at their new digs. Although it was chilly, they did great!

In typical Colorado fashion, we had a deep 3 foot snowstorm (in October!) and a couple days later it was blue skies and sunshine. The perfect weather combined with the willingness of this family to have some fun made for the perfect session. I had them walking through deep gullies of snow and they were laughing the whole way. And we also went into the studio for some nice black backdrop shots.
