This was a great session with a family I haven’t photographed in a couple years. I wanted to use this location because of the beautiful leaves among other things but it wasn’t an ideal location for sun angles. However, the clouds moved in just before the session, giving us some beautiful lighting for a great session. And on top of that we had happy kids, happy parents and heck even the dog was smiling!

This family decided to have their family portraits taken at the same place they were married. How cool is that? And once again my impression of Colorado mountain kids was raised another notch as these great kids basically ignored the cold and wind and had a great time.

I just love it when clients return with new babies! And this little sister will do just fine in this family of boys because she is tough! I kid you not – the first picture was taken in about 45 degree temperatures! And she was happily sleeping with no issues at all!

This is my last Kodiak session to blog this year. This family was so happy to have their two college-aged kids back in Alaska for a visit that they celebrated with a portrait session! Unfortunately they had one of my rainy sessions, but fortunately the huge trees in Abercrombie kept the rain off. And we had that wonderful foggy background that I love about Kodiak.

This was one rainy day! We really used our imagination getting this session done. Kudos to the Baranov Museum for letting us use their porch for some shots. Then off to a very wet beach. And then a retreat into the house. But honestly this child is so cute and is the king of expressions so I could take pictures of him anywhere and get lots of great shots.

This wasn’t even intended to be a Fall colors session but the trees just decided to turn early this year. The weather was absolutely perfect and so were the kids. It was a great session!

It’s only 3 weeks until the 1st Annual

Boo in the Hills PORTRAIT Fundraiser for the Mountain Resource Center (MRC)!

This is a fundraiser I’m running with the MRC where you can bring your child in costume to the MRC for a studio portrait for only $10 per portrait. ALL proceeds go to MRC. They will also have crafts, activities and snacks. For the portrait, you can choose to receive a digital file or a 5×7.
