Every once and a while I need to shoot a session just for myself to try some new things and let the creativity flow. So this time, I called my good friend John Castor and we met at a barn for some pictures.

On some of these images I applied a filter that makes John look about 20 years older – sorry John! I just thought it made the images look really cool.

And thanks to Erika Armstrong for letting me use her beautiful barn! 🙂

This family from Aurora lucked out with their session on the nicest day in May (and there haven’t been many nice days this May). And to make the session even better, the kids were great! The oldest girl was dedicated to seeking out new locations for our portraits – cute! And the toddler just couldn’t stop smiling. Love sessions like this!

Look at these beautiful kids in their Easter clothes! So cute and full of laughs. The last picture cracks me up. I was setting up some lights while the kids were playing and turned around and captured it. In a few years the little one will be right on top.

The numbers are in! (Well most of them anyway). We raised $1,004 for Marshdale Elementary and $275 for West Jefferson Elementary in this year’s school fundraiser. That’s almost double of last year’s fundraiser. Thank you to all the participants! 🙂
