I LOVED working with this family. So much love and fun all around. Their older son has been dealing with the results of some serious concussions and he’s just so fortunate that his family is so loving and supportive. Really really neat family.

Well, we might not have the variety of colors as seen in the eastern autumns but wow are our aspens gorgeous! This family had the luck of good weather and perfect colors for their session. And the kids were just great through the whole session!

Announcing the 2nd Annual Boo In The Hills Portrait Fundraiser for the Mountain Resource Center on October 22 from 10 am – 2 pm (drop-in).

What: Bring your little prince or princess, ghost or goblin in costume for a studio portrait by Amy Johnson Photography. (www.amyphoto.com) Amy will have hay bales and pumpkins for a great Halloween portrait. All ages welcome! We will have fun fall crafts and activities too!

Where: Mountain Resource Center, 11030 Kitty Drive in Conifer

When: Saturday, October 22nd. Drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm.

Why: To have a wonderful studio portrait taken of your child while raising money for MRC! We recommend a donation of $10 for a 5×7 portrait or $20 for a 5×7 portrait and digital file. 100% goes to MRC’s Family Education Programs.

How: Amy will take a studio portrait of your child at the event. The 5×7 photo of your child will be held at the front desk at MRC for you to pick up the week of November 7th. The digital file will be emailed to you within two weeks of the event.

Yay! Fall colors are here! This session was almost moved into the studio due to pouring rain. However as we were driving to the studio, the rain slowed down so we pulled into an area that was my daughter’s bus stop last year and did the session there. I always loved that spot and it worked great for a fall colors session. Great kids, beautiful spot, awesome pictures!

I am so excited!!! I had a taste of competition this year when I won a merit award at the Colorado Professional Photographers competition. So I gathered up my confidence and entered 4 images in the Southwest PPA competition (AR, CO, LA, NM, OK, TX) and all four images won merit awards! Woo hoo! 😀
