I recently participated in the Open Doors Studio tour and decided to invite some clients in for “artsy headshots” to demonstrate my art to visitors. My goal was to simply capture the kids with beautiful natural expressions. I really love this type of photography!

This family really lucked out. They had their session next to Bear Creek 3 days before it was all under water. Now this area is closed due to extensive flood damage. I’ve photographed these kids lots of times and love their enthusiasm for life!

I was jazzed to take this senior’s pictures when I learned that he was bringing along his double bass! You see I have a soft spot for that instrument since my son also plays double bass! We lucked into some rain-free time during his session so that he could bring his bass out for the pictures.

I was happy to photograph this high school senior after photographing her sister last year. It was particularly fun because she had her mom’s horse and her best friend along and because she giggled her way through the session.
