Whew- the mornings are sure getting chilly! Winter in the mornings and fall in the afternoon. This family had fall colors but winter temperatures for their session. But they hung in there just fine. It was a pleasure working with these great kids!

I just love these last-minute senior pictures. The contrast of the red house, white snow and colorful scarf are just beautiful. And it was a bonus that this young lady was willing to help me move hay bales around for my Boo in the Hills event!

When I do Fall Color sessions, I schedule the session far in advance and then find a colorful grove with good light when the session time comes. This family lucked into this beautiful grove with big Aspen trees for their session. The mom is one of my heroes – she’s been the girl scout leader of my daughter’s troop for 9 years and she’s still going strong!

I had a great time at the 4th Annual Boo in the Hills event this weekend! And we raised over $1000 for the Mountain Resource Center, much more than past years!

This mom has wanted a family session for a while and her family picked a very special birthday to give her a family portrait session for a gift. We had a wonderful session!

And an added bonus is that the dad is an avid local geocacher just like we are!

Wow! This family has friends who own the most amazing property up on Upper Bear Creek where we had this great senior session. The area where we were shooting was not too badly affected by the recent flooding although the road was washed out so we had to transfer to a ranch truck to get to the site. This young man was a real pleasure to photograph, very personable and laid back.

Good thing I was photographing a senior boy and not a senior girl on this unbelievably windy morning! I think this may have been the earliest session I’ve held. But next year when my son moves into middle school I think I’ll make it a regular session time – the light is great!

I loved working with this creative young man. He enjoys acting and writing and I have photographed him in a couple roles at Stagedoor Theatre.

This was such a nice senior session – beautiful evening light, late summer flowers, and sweet young lady. I had a ton of senior sessions this year and am just loving working with the pictures!

This was such a great session! And then the surprise that this senior girl was a ballerina made it an extra great session. 🙂
