The mom of these beautiful kids decided to surprise her husband with portraits for his birthday. And the kids kept the secret! Happy birthday Rick!
Print competition – Professional Photographers of Colorado

Well last weekend was the annual convention and print competition for the Professional Photographers of Colorado. And I’m extremely proud to announce that 3 out of 4 of my entries won merit awards! And one of them (Pretty in Blue) placed in the “Excellent” category AND won a judges award! There are 6 judges and each picks an image out of the whole show (140 images) as their favorite and one of the judges picked mine. 🙂 I believe I’m growing rather addicted to these print competitions. I learn so much by sitting for hours and hours mesmorized by the judges comments and scores of each image that is displayed.

I wanted to do some more artistic type pictures, so I headed back to Erika’s barn. I just love the light there! But what you can’t see in these pictures is Erika in the background trying to keep some extremely curious horses from barging into the stall. 🙂 Thank you Erika – you’re the best!
