Well I finally found time to do my annual online portfolio update. It is a ton of work but brings back so many great memories of all my 2017 sessions. Here are the pictures that made my home page slideshow – some of my favs of 2017 (and a couple old ones I just can’t seem to let go). To see my whole online portfolio, please go to www.amyphoto.com/gallery.shtml.

I’m proud to announce that I have earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from Professional Photographers of America (PPA)! To earn my CPP, I had to pass a 2 hour exam and then pass an image review by a panel of print judges. Whew!

I had a great time photographing this actor this morning in my studio. It’s always fun working with someone who loves dynamic and edgy lighting and effects.

We did a combo session for this senior so we could do some cool edgy sports shots in the studio. I can’t believe how big the hockey goalie pads are! Very fun session with a nice young man.

EPRD asked me to take some pictures at this year’s Evergreen Winter Festival. So I started off shooting some ProJam shots but after seeing two other EPRD photographers there, I dismissed myself and wandered around just having some fun with off-camera flash. I was lucky to have an awesome assistant, Jaiden Moreland- thanks Jaiden! At the end of the night, I captured some requested fireworks pictures with the Evergreen Lake House in the background. It was a great night!

I had a blast doing these athletic portraits. I think the kids liked it too. Not too often are you told to NOT smile for the camera.
